Do phones go bad if they fall into water?

I suppose if it was in the water long enough! and How good of a phone it actually is!

If dropped in water and retrieved fast enough, maybe there wouldn't be any damages. I know many house phones will get ruined if dropped in water! But the newer phones seem to be better water proofed to a certain extent.

But cell phones have a complete rubber pad in back of the face to help from water entering the phone and the ear listening area and mouth speaking area, the holes are very, very small so that helps to keep water etc. out of the inside of the cell phones, so if it's retrieved quite quickly after dropping into water, and dried off in a timely manner, there should be any damages!

IT depends on what kind of phone you have, some phones are designed to resist water while others just fall apart once they fall in water anyway. So it all depends on what you have really :)

actually the newer phones usually work better after falling into water.  dunk it often.

i drop mine in the toilet then it went bang then it made sizzling noise and then it didn't work

most of the time, if u drop it in water, open your phone and inside there should be a sticker, it is originally one color, but it turns another color when dropped in the water, youll want to take that off, and return it cuz if u return it w/out taking it off first then theyll check for the sticker, and when they c it is a differetn color they will know right away that u dropped it in water and wont give u another one for free, take off the sticker and u will get a free new one. =) hope i helped.

No get rice and put phone in it then the rice soaks the moisture out and it shoul be good as new wait a few minutes I did it it worked
