  1. If you've heard of them saving someone you have heard more than me.

  2. Another prime example of an uneducated idiot posting questions without facts.  Get a clue and educate yourself before you spin more myths about an awesome breed.

  3. People need to be more educated than just going around stereotyping PIt Bulls.  PIT BULLS ARE GREAT DOGS!  Remember, it's all up to the person who is raising them.  You can either make them vicious or family oriented.

God, it makes sick and tired of hearing all this negative stuff about them.  There is nothing wrong with the dog itself.  You need to judge the person who owns the dog.  Not all people are qualified to own a pit bull.

So, get your facts together before you start making this stupid statements.

  4. Do some research on pit bulls.  They are typically friendly to people, though they have a tendency to be aggressive toward other dogs.  That is how they were bred over many years, because they were exploited in dog-fighting.  Their handlers didn't want to get bitten, even though they wanted their dogs to fight other dogs.

Some people own pit bulls because it makes them look tough.  I recall a local incident in which some gang members with a pit bull attacked a school bus, breaking windows and trying to get in.  The pit bull got loose and ran away with the gangsters chasing it.  So much for the scary pit bull.

  5. If you're doing a debate, regardless of which side you're arguing, you'll have to free yourself from the propaganda and fear-mongering of the media.  Otherwise you'll end up with a boring, trite argument that only echoes your own prejudices.  Try looking at the situation from a new angle - the perspective of the dog.  I imagine that if dogs held us to the same standards we impose on them, they would have no choice but to expel the human race from this planet.  How many more humans attack than save, how many more humans hurt than heal, how many more humans destroy than build?  We as mere mortals upon this planet really do not have the right to make judgments about other creatures that inhabit this planet or even talk about banishing them or destroying them.  All creatures that are born deserve to live a life free of pain.  They deserve to be loved and to be happy.

Pit bulls unfortunately have been used by humans for self-aggrandizement.  The sin is ours, not the the dogs'.
