  1. Landing lights on the wings and nose gear, navigation lights on the wing tips, anti-collision light on the tail. logo lights (on commercial aircraft), and of course cabin lights.

They do have licence plate as such, but that's in the cockpit,

They do have a horn, but that's also in the cockpit, for hazard warning.(stall warning etc)

  2. No.  They use radars to tell what's in their path.  Kind of like how bats use echolocation.

  3. Well, those planes flying by my house have head lights ... in the nose of the plane. No break lights that I can see, but they do have all sorts of little lights across the wings ... maybe they are turn signals and hazard flashers ... but they do have lights in the front of the plane.

  4. It you are refering to what I think you are, they are generally called 'landing lights', and are quite noticeable from the ground after being switched on prior to landing. Aircraft are also equipped with 'navigation lights' - red to port, green to starboard.

Any talk of braking, turn or hazard lights is nonsense.

  5. No. Planes do not have headlight, instead they have lights stationed all across there wings and back rudder-thing.

  6. Some - not all - have headlights; or more accurately nose lights, usually mounted under the cockpit.  All planes have formation lights, which allow them to be seen from a distance; these are the lights you see when they fly overhead at night.  A navigation light is the blinking one; not all planes have them, and it's not always on.

As far as I know, planes do not have brake lights or turn signals; they'd be useless at the speeds and distances at which aircraft usually operate.

  7. They have, Headlights, Tail Lights, and Port and Starboard lights on the wing tips.  On the runway they are directed by the Tower so they do not need indicator lights.
