  2. Mainly only the animal kingdom has he ability to feel pain, meaning animals and humans. Shortly put, in order to feel pain, you need a central nervous system and a brain. Plants have neither.

  7. It depends on what you mean by "feel". At the most primitive level, pain is simply a response to an undesirable stimulus. Plants have a whole range of chemical and physical responses to damage and attack from pests, such as releasing toxic chemicals. In the widest sense, one might suggest that this is a pain response. But, plants certainly don't "feel" that pain in the way that people do when you cut them. Keep eating your greens.
