ok so i am helping a kid do his science project...it's basically all resaerch we have to do...

Do plants grow better in Salt water or tap water?... Please tell me which one....and what are your sources if anywebsites...please please leave them with your answer!!!

  1. Isn't the point of the science project that you find this out by experimentation?

    I can't imagine it would grow better in salinated water. Because salt is so often use to extract moisture from things. It might affect things like tomatoes, which might make them sweeter/saltier/etc., though.


  2. tap water. There are plants that naturally can grow in salty water.

    The cells of the plants explode or die of the high pH of the salt.

    Could ask a nursery worker.
