  1. no. if plants did have nerve cells like us, it would move on its own all the time.

  2. no, but in fact, scientists recently discovered that plants DO have a basic ability to feel pain....... :(

makes me question my vegan diet, and what the heck I'm supposed to eat now.

    don't kill the plants! ;)

  3. L. Ron Hubbard did research back in the 1950s that "proved" tomato plants can "feel" pain and even "remember" and "react to"  painful incidents.

NO. They do not have nerve cells, but his theory is that all cells have at least some ability to sense, feel, communicate and remember.

His experiments were simple to duplicate. I wonder why the "Scientific" community waited so long to attempt to discover his work.

  4. Plants do not have nerve cells or a brain. However they can respond to tissue damage. Whether this constitutes feeling pain is debatable. My opinion: NO.

  5. When I went to agriculture(botany) school, they(my teachers) taught me a little about the plants, and the answer: "yes". They have cells like people and animals. If you need more information, just read a book about botany.
