Do points get taken off your license when your 18?

I have about 6 points but then i turned 18 and just got another 4 pointer.. now that i am 18(i live in PA by the way) do points get taken off or do i get more "allowable points now that im 18 or do i have to go to court?

  1. You are very close to losing your driving privileges.  You will most likely be required to retake the drivers exam, at a minimum.  Check out the point system in PA:

    BTW point are deducted on the anniversary of the traffic offense, not your birthday.


  2. no, they are only doubled when your under 18, but points do go away after a certain period of time of not getting points.

  3. You don't get points taken off just because you are 18.  If you are concerned about accumulating too many points, you may have the option of getting points removed by taking a defensive driving class.
