Do police ever run errands for none police business, but city business?

I heard in the past some cities used the police departments for messenger services (I don't know if it;s the truth)

  1. I have never seen that in my area.  I bet it is different in every city though.

  4. You bet it's true and we hate it. City Council packets for the next nights meetings. HATED IT.  Finally got reserve officers and dumped it on them.
