In case it matters, I'm talking about a low-crime, residential neighborhood.

  1. It doesn't matter, it depends on the cops' personal preference.

  2. It depends on the officer's level of training and experience, the officer's personal feelings, and the level of the crime.

    I parked in the street.

  3. On the Public Road, not on personal property.Although, it depends on the circumstances. (I Would Think ) Good Question!  My Answer, reflects on the Liability Benefits Offered in NYS.

  4. driveway.....

  5. Depends on state laws. There are states where they must park on the street, as pulling into the driveway would require a warrant.

edit: I love getting thumbs down for correct answers to simple questions. Ir reveals hoiw utterly lame Q&A is.

  6. I always park on the street.  You never know when a suspect has snapped and decides to start cranking off rounds.

  7. the street atleast in minnesota they do

  8. That depends ,in my state the laws requires the officer to have his lights on (considered to be a chase in progress) before an officer is allowed to enter private property. This is clarfication from a judge, years on the bench, whom I know. However the courts in my area who obviously know this ignore it. Local cops that I know have told me they know it, but, they ignore it. What does this tell you?

  9. My guess is the street.

They would want to block in any vehicle in the drive/garage.

They also would want to keep their vehicle quickly movable straight ahead - not have to back out.

  10. In that case probably the driveway
