Do politicians get too many perks and are paid too much for what they do?

many never even read the bills in congress they just vote the way their party tells them, plus they get a lifelong pension even if they are just elected for 2 years and they take half the year off

  1. Way over compensated and indulged (the old fox in the hen house effect) considering hours actually worked. Over compensation tends to leave them in a glass bubble and unable to relate to the common citizens that they are supposed to represent, particularly after many years.


  2. Yes, but that's what happens when crooks are in charge over their own pay.  And when you have a fascist government ... ya know when big government is in bed with big business...that's what happens.

  4. i think first they need to cut off all money from lobbyist and stop the constant campaigning they do. How you do it is give each politician a certain amount of money to use in elections.
