Im 16. i was new to my highschool a couple years ago so i don't really have as many friends as i would like. there is this one guy in my grade who has lived here his whole life and has lots of friends and is very popular. whenever i happen to notice him, he is staring directly at me. even if i am walking with a friend i have noticed him staring at me. this has been going on for OVER ONE WHOLE YEAR NOW. but he has never approached me or talked to me. i was wondering what the reason would be. do you think he doesn't wanna be seen talking to me in front of his friends or does he not know what to say? i get the feeling he likes me but i don't know. whenever i notice him staring at me i either look away or ignore it b/c i am so dumb when it comes to guys. i like him alot though. so why doesn't he talk to me? would he like me even tho we have no friends in common. i never see him really talking with other girls even though his brother who is now in college is a BIG PLAYER ALWAYS with GIRLS

Watch the movie Sixteen Candles with Molly Ringwold.  It is more common than you might think.  Guys look for different things in a relationship.  For some guys it is about eye candy and who is on his arm and the ego charge associated with that.  Guys that are less superficial might prefer a girl that is genuinely interested in him.......not what he can do for her popularity.

Sounds like a jerk, move on girl! Sometimes they&#039;re better than that. I dated a popular guy in high school and I was definitely not part of that crowd. I didn&#039;t care though and that&#039;s what he liked about me.

If you just can&#039;t let this guy go, go talk to him first! Ask him straight up why he&#039;s always watching you.
