  1. If it is a baby mantis almost larger than ants a bit, maybe they will eat they are strong enough, but i kept baby mantis before, it eats the flying ants, they have really good capture action! they are fast.. and can eat flying insects..

if you're talking about the adult mantis that is 10 times larger than ants, maybe they don't , the ants are just too small for them to catch, but a housefly does because they are flying and mantis aim for it and can catch it easily, for ants, maybe the adult mantis will eat it if you feed the dead ant to the mantis..

  2. Not really.  Praying mantises prefer bugs that move around a lot.  Slow moving prey and little guys like ants don't interest them.

In fact, it's more likely that a colony of ants will eat the mantis!

  3. I don't think so

  4. yes,i had a pet one as a kid and we used to feed it bull ants

  5. I am sure they do.  They are "carnivorous".  A good way to end ant problems is use a mix of cinnamon and sugar. The ants will pick up the sugar, along with the cinnamon, and take it back to their queen. Ants can’t digest cinnamon and once the queen dies from not being able to digest the cinnamon the colony will die without her.

  6. Yes.  They will eat just about any insect not larger than itself.
