Do prep classes work for SAT chemistry ? ?

What's more beneficial for doing well on the SAT chemistry test is taking an advanced chemistry class (like AP chemistry) in high school.  I never had to prepare for the SAT Chemistry test directly, I just took the test when I was done with the class, and I got an 800.  If you haven't taken an advanced chemistry class in high school, you're at a disadvantage, so the class may be beneficial in that case.
