  1. First of all, where do you live??

There is a charge for pre-school, I guess just because it is PRE-school and not required by law.  The cost can vary from one area to another... and what KIND of pre-school you are looking for.  Check around and ask if they can send you info on their program.  Good luck.

  2. The ones I know that are free

    are your Head Start

    and through your puplic schools.

  3. well if there puplic (probly not) they would be almost free but... privite schools r lots and lots of money

  4. Most do cost money. Head Start is free if you qualify. Some high schools have tech centers with free preschool programs.

  5. they cost money

  6. Preschools cost money. They vary in Price. There are programs that Parents can go into that are for low income families. You may want to check it out. Find out if there is a 4 C's in your area.

  7. Prescool are free the peeple who run prescools usual run a secund job in order to suport themself.

  8. The only ways to get free preschool for your child is to qualify financially for a Head Start program (sometimes titled Early Start) or to work at a center that offers free tuition for teacher's children.  If you qualify financially (you have to make under a certain amount of money per year) for Head Start, your child will attend class 3 hours per day, funded by the federal or state government.  Some centers offer "benefits" to their staff that their child can attend the same preschool that the parent works at for free or reduced (often 50% off) tuition.  Other than those two choices, I've never heard of any other way to get preschool for free.  Eventually, if the "preschool for all" initiative is passed, children ages 4-5 may be able to attend preschool as part of a federally funded program, but this does not exist as of yet.

  9. Contrary to what some say, some preschools are free, like the ones in Arkansas. They are funded through the department of education called, ABC or  A Better Chance Program. We accept children 18 months and up. Do note that we charge $65.00 for the 18mth-24 mth olds due to the intensive care that we give our babies, but the children 25 mths and up get free education based on income. A big plus with our program is that we have teachers that have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, not just a CDA. Each room is equipped with a lead teacher and a para-pro that has been trained in the CDA program. The ratio is 10:1 which allows us to give students a lot of attention.

More and more states are coming on board and offering the ABC programs. You may want to check with your state's department of education to see if they offer such programs and see what the qualifications are to see if you meet them.

    Good luck.
