Do pretzels contain eggs?....?

i'm a vegetarian and i don't eat eggs so i am asking if pretzels contain eggs...

and can u also give me a list of common foods that seem like they don't contain eggs but they do...

yes, they put an eggwash on the surface of pretzels to make them brown. They do this for most breads.

A lot of soft pretzels have egg white on the outside to keep them fresh. Hard pretzels shouldn't, unless they're sour dough.

The pretzels at Pretzel World don't. If you go to somewhere that sells soft pretzels, just ask them. You don't have explain that your vegetarian or anything, people will probably just assume that you are allergic to eggs

Traditional pretzels are made from yeast bread, so they don't contain egg. Like others have said some people dunk the pretzels in egg before cooking them. It's best to read the ingredents and ask if ordering fresh one's

i know most brands of microwaveable pretzels you can buy in a supermarket do NOT contain eggs.  most are vegan.  youd probably have to ask if you are buying them from a pretzel stand
