  1. Well, they don't get paid nearly as much as soccer players. I'd say the average for a top class player would be maybe €200,000-€300,000. But then again Dan Carter one of the best players in the world is being paid around €700,000 for 6 months in Perpignan. The players in the French leagues would get more than most other countries because the clubs are privately owned by rich businessmen, companies etc., but other countries the top class players would get about 200 to 300 thousand. Other players then might get around 50,000 -100,000.

Just like to point out that this is very rough on my part I don't what exact amount players would get but I'd say it's around that.

  2. no they dont get paid enough

pay them more, bring in the big dollars

  3. Matt Giteau who plays for the western Force and the Wallabies, gets payed about AU$1.5 million (which is about the same US) a season. And In countries like France they have 2 professional divisions  and are thinking of making the third one professional

  4. Does it reall matter how much $$ is it not better to do something you love to do rather than use $$$ signs as a motivational tool, if you want to be in the top bracket nothing comes without hard work, and honing your skills to the level of success ,get off the couch and chase your dream.....the coach

  5. yes they do...but...it depends what country they are playing in....e.g mark gasnier got payed about $300 000 to play here in australia...but is getting payed $1 000 000...in french..which is nearly triple of what he got in Australia.

  6. I think the rugby players are well paid, but they deserve to be. They train every day, have skills/talents that not everyone has. They are constantly under pressure by the club and the fans. In the winter in Europe the conditions are not ideal. They play in long seasons - the French season is from July to May, and for those non-French players playing in France means they are too far away from their families and friends.

  7. there is american football players who get paid over 8 million a year!!!! rugby cant even touch that...

  8. yes they get payed too much!

  9. They are all paid negotiated contracts according to their current performance on the field and their ability as rugby players.

  10. They get paid good compaired  to the average job

  11. Well, according to my brother (Rugby Fanatic ,Who wants to be a pro rugby player) They get paid good bucks if they're good and famous(like Sebastien Chabal) ,But you have to be good, many ruby players have a second profession though, so good luck mate.

  12. It depends on which code and which country you want to play. Rugby Union or Rugby League or super league if you live in England.

  13. It depends on who you play for and how good you are...

  14. it depends really.teams with wealthy owners such as western force, stade francais and Toulon tempt the best players in the world with salary reaching almost 500,00 per year. Players like jerry Collins, dan carter , George gregan and matt giteau have benefited from this new cash flow being injected into rugby.

in answer to ur question, salaries obviously depend on the calibre of the player with average players earning about 50,000 per year and top class players earning close to 300,000 per year.

as far as I know, bonuses are given for good  performances and world renowned players such as dan carter and brian o'driscoll benefit from huge sponsorship deals

  15. compare them to american football players, they get paid nothing !
