  1. no, a biker is a biker, be careful out there!

  2. It all depends on their height.

  3. depends how tall they are!!!

  4. you think schumakker looks down on the guy in the geo beside him at a stop light?

  5. No but they do look down on stunter squids but then again so does everybody. I rode dragbike for a long time and the only ones I ever really look down on were the BS'ers.

  6. Professional bikers? Do you mean racers? I am sure they have a sense of "pride" in their ability to control their rides like they do, the same as a NASCAR driver or a NHRA drivers do. I am a professional and I have pride in the knowledge of the fact that I am GOOD at what I do and better at it than an ordinary person would be. That is why I get paid to do it.

  7. Should be the other way round. Most 'professional' riders, eg couriers are mad, and aren't interested in road safety. Sports riders, if their behaviour on motorways is anything to go by, are worse. Got overtaken by a Jeep towing 2 race bikes on the M6. I was doing 70 in the middle lane, he passed me doing at least 80 in the outside lane. Speed limit 60 and no trailers in the outside lane.

  8. no why would they. they were regular mototcycle riders once but i suppose it depends on the person.

  9. no we do not look down on regular riders.it one time we was just like you so why would we do that

  10. maybe, i know for a fact sportbike riders look down on all other bike riders

even their own, ie guy on new r1 would think little of guy on old beatup r6

  11. I think so. They ride professionally and have a passion for the art of it. When you have a bunch of "little zits" riding around being idiots on public roads detracting from the image and validity of sport bike riding as a real sport.

So yeah they look down on squids but so do the rest of us sensible riders.

  12. I get paid to ride and I race but not professionally, so I guess you could say I'm professional motorcyclist.  I don't look down on regular motorcycle riders but sometimes I feel sorry for them.  From time to time I meet someone that acts and thinks they know all about bikes.  I feel sorry for them because they will make many mistakes based on their supposed knowledge.  Also if they already know it all, how will they have a mind open enough to ever learn.

  13. Hi mate..i raced motorcycles many moons ago and to be honest i look up the the ordinary senseble guy that rides on the streets..What i did was at speed on a track or sometimes road racing BUT not with any other 4 or more wheels on the same patch of road..Im sure that there maybe some that do but they dont realise that at one time they were the same as everybody else on 2 wheels ( BUT WITH TALENT) of course BUT you dont have to be a racer to be a professional bike rider.. COMMON SENCE on two wheels helps.. Regards

  14. Why would they?

Do professional football players look down on high school football players?

Do professional baseball players look down on preteens, that play little league baseball?

    Think about it.

  15. I doubt it, but if they do, who cares, they're not anything to me.  They chose their way of life, I chose mine

  16. You can never get an accurate answer when your question is one that asks readers to stereotype a group of people

  17. I wouldn't say that. In reality, there is no such thing as a professional rider. No matter how good you are, there is always someone else that will know more whether it be everything or just about a particular subject. For example, Motorcycle Racers know more about high speed cornering and track riding than someone who rides a cruiser/chopper bike and someone who will do alot alot of touring will know more about riding long distance than someone who just rides to and from work. Do you see my point?

For that reason, I don't think that people that think they are a professional rider, look down on people that are "less" professional than they are. Many bikers down my way, respect each other - we have to as car drivers tend to gang up on us bikers!

  18. As a biker for 40 years I would say no, but there are always exceptions. For instance, at one time a biker wouldn't talk to a scooter rider but that attitude has largely disappeared due, I believe, to the realisation that anyone on two wheels has the same problem - anyone on four (or more) wheels. Most motorcyclists would be more likely to look down on car drivers, mainly because they have so frequently been put in danger by their lack of care and training.
