  1. They sometimes take good college students

  2. yes, sometimes

  3. Unfortunately, as anna mentioned, most of the pros we know haven't gone to college.  Or at least in a situation where they would have a normal college experience.  The general trend now is to start 'em when they're young, and work them hard until they are 16 or 18, and then release them to the professional world.

And that's not entirely true.  You need to understand the process of becoming a pro.  You don't really get drafted like with football or basketball.  It's an individual thing.  Many of the touring pros now, were once top players in junior events.  They started off playing in local junior tournaments.  They will rank you based on your region.  The top juniors will compete in larger tournaments, until they reach the junior version of the US Open.  Then, the natural progression once they are too old for the junior tournaments, or if they decide they want to move up, would be to go to the real professional circuit and move up the world ranks.

  4. u need to play inter school and if u play well then u will be chose for state level

  5. Usually pros don't go to college, but there are exeptions like James Blake who went to Harvard for 2 years and John Isner, who graduated (4 years) college and then went to be pro.

  6. they take good college students out for professional sports all the time but u gotta b good.

  7. No. You're question said "Will THEY ask you to play professionaly tennis."

There is no THEY.  No one scouts for anything, because there isn't a team or a coach looking to improve his team.

You have to decide if you want to go professional and go.  It is rare to go through college. Very rare. But James Blake did that... I think along with Sam Querry.

But other than that, its VERY RARE.

  8. u prob got no idea wat it takes to be a pro since u asking dis question..

blake and isner were college players be4 pro

  9. most pros did'nt go to college, but if you're good, then why not turning pro??

but don't give up college, remember tennis it's only for a few years.-

    good luck!!!!

  10. No.  Individuals must decide on their own if they want to play professionally.  There's no draft like in basketball, football, and baseball.  Those are team sports, so it makes sense that there would be a draft.  In tennis, you are on your own.  Sponsors though (like Adidas) might recruit players to endorse their products, and provide them with coaching, but usually not college players.
