  1. No they don't, and they cause more trouble than they're worth.

  2. Ahhh... first of all its not propane that they use in those mosquito traps (though the gas tanks look like propane gas tanks) Those are C02 tanks. It was discovered about 20+ years ago that mosquitoes are attracted to their victim by the carbon dioxide (C02)  they exhale. And so, some genius came up with the idea (about 12+ years ago) to create a mosquito trap utilizing C02 gas. And what they found out is that it works better than any other method. About 10 times better than electric bug zappers !

I have seen that those set ups run in the 250- 300 dollars range and the tank requires frequent refills. So before you decide if you want to go that route make sure you find out how much it costs to refill the tank and find out how frequent you need tor refill it. Oh and make sure you can locate a place you can get it filled nearby. Good Luck!!

  3. I've heard that propane traps have heaps of problems and can be more trouble than they are worth.  I have a Mega-Catch Ultra trap and use the CO2 gas which is super effective at catching mosquitoes.  Take a look at www.megacatch.com.
