do protein bars make u lose or put on weight if i ate them only all day? also how many should i eat.? also what is the name of the best one? help asapp plz/

    You need some fruit and vegetables or your systems will get clogged up.

  4. PROTIEN DOESNT HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT IT HELPS YOU REBUILD MUSCLE. THERE ARE NO BEST ONES UNLESS YOU WORK OUT AND THEN THE BEST ONE WOULD BE THE ONE WITH THE MOST PROTIEN AND VITAMINS.

  5. protein makes u gain weight the best time 2 eat it is just after an excercise regime then it goes straight 2 ur muscles . i dont know the best bar but this has 2 be a dear way of doing it , u would be better of buying a big tub of powder u can either have plain that u add 2 food soups casseroles etc (no taste 2 it ) or u can buy straw ,vanilla &choc that u can add 2 milk and make a shake with it  

  6. Probably wouldn't affect your weight much if your still a kid a growing a lot because proteins are needed for amino acids. Dunno any names :P

To actually answer your question first - it would depend largely on the number of calories that were in them balanced against your activity levels; and also if they contain much in the way of fats and sugars. Gaining or losing weight is never simply a question of 'what' you eat. Recommended average calorie intake is 2000 daily for a woman and 2500 for a man. This increases if you are spending time doing hard physical exercise and want to maintain your weight, of course if you want to lose it then exercise is all part of the 'calorie burn'

    If weight loss is your goal then there really is no substitute for exercise and a balanced diet. If you are looking at proteins as part of an Atkins type diet then I don't really know how those programmes work but I don't think that we are built to perform best on such a high protein diet.

    I'm no nutritionist but I would not recommend going overboard on the protein bars. The calorie balance that we generally need in our daily diet is 57% Carbs, 30% Fats, and 13% Protein. If you overeat on protein all that is likely to happen is that you become constipated (depending on your tolerance).

  9. Protein bars are nothing but glorified candy bars . You have to be very careful with the carb content and sugar alcohols .  If you are going to eat them use them as a meal replacement and have only one a day if that . Protein bars and shakes are not used for weight lose they are used as a meal replacement only and to build muscle .
