  1. some do

  2. Most cities have a transfer station or materials recovery facility (MRF) to try to pull some of the recyclable materials from the waste stream. Check with your local waste managment office to see how it is done in your area.

We have a state of the art, supper expensive, automatic MRF and we only have a diversion rate of around 40%. So the most effective way to ensure items get recycled is to prevent them from going into the waste stream and take them to your local recycling center. www.earth911.org is a great resource.

  3. some places do but how would u expect the park to recycle? i mean it isint like they r gonna have someone dig through the trash!

  4. None that I know of in my area. But I do!!

  5. Env. concious people do.

  6. Some but not many

    .. . ..

It is to costly and space consuming for most of them to recycle

    .. . ..

Cardboard is still the popular one cause it pays the most

    .. .. ..

Wood skids are next because they show the most return for the time and space needed

    .. . ..

Plastic and aluminum is last on the list of recycle in the business and industry side of save the world

    .. . .

  7. Actually very few do, even to the point of setting our a separate can for soda cans.

most feel it is not worth the trouble, and it usually take an employee taking the initiative to do it on their own time.

however it has happened in many areas, and the money made by recycling is often put towards a company or office party.

  8. I doubt this because if all the rubbish goes into the same bin and piled off to the fill it won't be recycled.

  9. I know that janitors at my old high school did.  They would just collect all the empty cans and bottles picked up and out of the trash, and they would recycle it.  Some schools are taking initiative, creating clubs that then create recycling boxes and put them into classrooms.

I know 24 hour fitness also has recycling trashcans throughout their gym.  Its free money.

The biggest issue i feel is bottles and paper.  Bottled water is overrated.  Health regulation are way higher on water that comes from a drinking fountain, than that of your million dollar companies that create bottled water.  (pesi and coca cola)  People should just buy reuseable water bottles.

Paper gets thrown away way too much, when it should be recycled, even if you dont get money for it.  It would help relieve deforestation.

  10. some do some not it all depends in that particular place in that particular people in that particular culture in that particular goverment

  11. they can collect and send for recycle

  13. Mostly European countries and North America does. But here in Iran, no body seems to give a d**n about the environment.

  14. at the school where my youngest goes they have a paper bank which is available  during term time for parents to use if they wish

they have a cardboard collection once a week

and they have special bins for fruit for the pupils to use and they do the same in the staff room as well
