  1. Yes, they will normally be tired and sleepy for about a day.

When you got the vaccines administered, your vet should have given you a list of things to watch out for, such as vomiting or swelling - if those things or anything else on the list happens make sure to call.  And if vomiting occurs shortly after getting vaccinated, it could be a vaccine allergy and needs to be treated immediately, so don't wait to call.

If the puppy is still lethargic (sleepy and lazy) after a couple of days or more, I'd put in a phone call to the vet to ask if they want to do a little follow-up peek.

  2. yup.

the vaccines make them feel a bit like they have the disease (they don't), so they don;t feel very well for a day or so after they get the shots.  but then they get better, and they're fine.

just let your puppy have some quiet time until he feels better.

  3. yes, definitely. Not only the shots but because there still a puppy they sleep a lot to.

  4. Yes.They may be pooped out for around 24 hours or so.No more than 48.Watch for swelling.favoring the legs closest to injection site and watch to see if pup licks shot area.If they do you might want call and speak with a tech.Usually no big deal. There just like people puppies when they get their shots.Tired cranky leave me alone or love me.

  5. Yes, especially if they are a small breed because it takes more out of them, if its a small breed its best to only give them one shot so that they don't become sick.

  6. YES THEY GET VERY TRIED!!!!!

  7. Puppies do sleep a lot and the shot that they get it makes it worth.

Put yourself in its shoe. After getting some heavy duty shots, don,t you want to rest for a day or two because of the that drug.

  8. Your vet tech or vet or whoever gave the vaccine should have told you that shots can cause sleepiness and soreness. If it their first time getting their shot they should have let you keep the pup there so they could obseve them all day for a reaction. Some puppies can have reactions ands its best to keep them all day at the vet to moniter their temp ( it should be between 101.5 and 102.5 is normal) a young pup should get 3 series of shots and the vet might like to split them they need 3 rounds of their parvo distemper and bordatella. But yes sleepniess and soreness are normal. If your pup looks lethargic throwing up having diahrreah and swelling get the dog into the vet right away, because it may be having a reaction.

Hope this helps!!! Good luck with your bundle of joy.
