Question:

Do push ups actually help?

I've been doing a lot of push ups for a very long time.

Something like 2-3 sets of 30 five days a week for the last couple of years.

Instead of becoming more muscular, i swear the more push ups i do, the less bulk i get...

It hasn't helped the amount i can bench press either..

is this routine helping at all?

  1. Don't just do 30, do more, do as much as you can until you fail.  That's how you will gain.  If you keep doing 30 and then stop you will never gain anything.  


  2. Are you elevating your legs on something??

  3. Push ups definatly help but in the area off bench pressing it should help a little bit but i believe you us different muscles while bench pressing
