Do rabbits and gerbils get along?

I have a 1 year old netherland dwarf rabbit, and I kind of want to get a gerbil as well. Now they will be in seperate cages and so forth, but if I decide to let them out will they get along?

  1. I had my hamster and rabbit out at the same time and and the hamster bit the rabbit


  2.  My gerbil and rabbit were out at the same time..once...the gerbil kept attacking the rabbit and biting him.
