  1. Yes, they have to feel quite threatened in order to bite.

Otherwise, they nip very lightly to ask you to move out of the way, or such. It is totally different than a bite. In fact, I've had 5 rabbits and I've only been bitten by one. It was because my rabbit had a severe problem with her spine, and was in a lot of pain. I thought the pain meds that the doctor prescribed for her were working fine, but when she began to bite me every time I had to groom her or such, I knew there was something wrong. It was when she was in a lot of pain one day, that she bit me for holding and washing her, when she wanted to be alone. I could tell the pain was very serious for her, because she had never ever bitten me before.

That bite felt like a tight pinch, and later became a nasty bruise. That's when I got her doctor to give her a better pain medicine. She was my little princess baby, so I bought her the best medicine on the market. It cost $80.00 for a 2-week supply. Once it began to kick in, she hopped onto my stomach and began l*****g my face, like Dino on the Flintstones.

There is always a reason for a rabbit to bite. If your bunny is biting, find out why. There could be a very serious problem.

  2. They do bite they really don't like to be picked up. There's really no way to prevent them from not bitting. Animals will be animals but ever animal bits once and a while that doesn't mean don't get it.

  3. Yes, rabbits do bite.  Very few of them break the skin, however, so the nips they give usually don't hurt.  They bite for a variety of reasons: they feel threatened, something startled them, they got excited, etc.  Oftentimes, when I have a rabbit that bites too much for no reason, I bop him or her on the nose very gently, yet firmly.  In time, they associate the bad actions with each other.  It doesn't hurt them, but better socializes them.  Good luck.

  4. Like i said in your other question, They can bite. When they are agritaved, or whatever. mine bit me once when i was giving food. And when I was taking out another rabbit.  And the growl! haha. They can be really mean!

  5. yeah they bite, lol. most of them bite om self defense, often because rabbits are prey animals.

If the rabbit likes you it probly wont bite, only for playing purposes

  6. Yes of course they do. Its when they are nervous or bored. Hope this helps!
