Do race car drivers get paid good?

i was just wondering how much do professional race car drivers get paid? for any type of racing

would be nice if you could name alot more then just like nacar

well yes and no.

because felipe massa who is at ferrari only gets paid $10 million compared to his team mate kimi raikkonen who gets paid the most in f1 at $50 million.(that maybe has something to do with kimi winning the tittle last year!)

Top drivers...!! i would LOL on this question about them....but talking about the lower team drivers...some arent paid as much but in the present grid all the drivers are paid to race....but till 2006 it wasnt the case...thats in the presence of teams like Minardi and Jordan...who had an policy...pay us if you wanna drive...like let me giv you couple of examples...Patrick Frieschecer(sorry if spelling is wrong) was sacked by minardi cause he couldnt get them enough sponsors(they say sponsors but it means actually money !!!  ) ...Narain Karthekeyan...couldnt get a seat in Midland F-1(it was jordan before in 2005) in 2006 cause he couldnt get enough money to purchase a seat there...and these drivers like Narain...Patrick,Tiago Montiero,...to name a few...had paid millions to teams like Jordan,minardi...respectively to get a seat....Fortunately today this aint the case...and force india though they are backmarkers today...pay the drivers and they have the aspiration to become a top team...hence they have employed driver like Fisichella...even after paying an good amount...

Do race car drivers get paid well?

It depends on the kind of racing, and the level of competition.

Local racers if they can finish their features can usually break even, cover the cost of the pit pass and gas.

Professional oval racers get paid extraordinary amounts of money if they are good and even if they aren't.

Formula 1 drivers get paid the most.

Open wheel oval racers do OK too!  Although some teams do struggle with money like Sarah Fisher (spelling?)

Most GT road course racers I think do pretty well but nothing like NASCAR or F1.

I am not to familiar with dragsters but it seams money is getting pretty tight with a few teams but some of the guys and girls who are doing well get paid well.
