  2. Rain is falling in drops only.Due to the persistance power of the eye,it  looks as thread .

  3. technically, they're just little globs of water.  They look like threads falling down like that.

  4. The rain forms into droplets as it falls. The droplets will tend to be spherical in shape as they are in free fall ( zero acceleration)
