Do ramen noodles contain meat?

I recently became a vegetarian and was wondering if the seasoning contains any meat. If it does, are there any ramen noodles that don't contain meat in the seasoning?

  1. The seasonings do contain meat.  Ingredients like chicken broth, chicken stock, chicken powder and even chicken flavor come from boiling chicken carcasses with seasonings.

Top Ramen's Oriental flavor is currently veg-friendly.  But always read the ingredients.  It's had meaty stuff in it in the past and may again in the future; manufacturers change their formulations regularly.

  2. meat favoring yes i jus became one and i stop eating them and marshmellows,jell-o all animal bones and hooves wat a waste

  3. The chicken seasoning I believe is dehydrated chicken.

However, I think the Chile pack should be fine.

There are also other ways of cooking the noodles so there isn't meat, but still flavor. Instead of using the seasoning, try experimenting with what you have at home. While the noodles are boiling, heat up some corn and peas. Or if you like eggs (I don't consider them meat) you could either scramble them or beat them and gradually add it to your pot.

Just have fun with it. Add some chili powder, or garlic/onion. You can even cut up some fresh ginger and throw that in.

  4. You have to check to see if there is CHICKEN OR BEEF STOCK in the packets.. You obviously can not have chicken or beef flavored!

  5. They don't have meat, per se, but they have chicken or beef "stock," which comes from dead animals so it technically not vegetarian.

But good news! The Oriental flavor of the brand Top Ramen (not Manchurian Ramen, and you'll have to read the ingredients of other brands) have no animal products! I eat the Oriental ones all the time.

    Hope that helped! Good luck!

  6. the noodle it self does not, but the flavoring packets do contain trace amounts.   i am a vegetarian also, and i do not eat ramen noodles.I believe there is a mushroom flavor.

  7. Top Ramen brand has one vegetarian flavor called "Oriental Flavor."  It comes in blue packaging.  ONLY Top Ramen has the vegetarian option.  Other brands like Maruchan also have an Oriental flavor, but it contains chicken.  Good luck!

  8. Some of them have little pieces of meat in the food itself, but the majority are just meat flavoring I think. I wouldn't suggest eating that as a vegetarian though; too big of a risk.

  9. Yes the seasoning contains chicken, beef or pork fat! However the noodles do not contain meat products!

  10. Good for you, sir.

Say if you were to eat Beef Ramen Noodles. Well... the seasoning actually has beef fat in it. So don't eat any of those. I know that there is Oriental Ramen Noodles. I'm not sure if they contain meat or not... probably.

Anyways... Ramen Noodles are actually good by themselves without the seasoning. You could make up and add your own seasoning. The seasoning adds so much sodium. A pack of the Beef Ramen Noodles contains 790mg of sodium!

    Well, good luck.

  11. ramen noodles themselves dont contain any meat but the little packets of flavor that come with them in the bag do... im vegetarian, so i have looked into this, but if you just have the ramen noodles, u will be fine!

    bon apetit!
