  1. yeah, my sister took them and her lil girl shot out. good luck

  2. hmmmm well i started to drink the tea at 8 months on my 2nd pregnancy as I knew I was going to be having a big baby..  I dont know if it definately helped but on my first child it took 44 hours and an episiotomy to have a 6lb 10 baby and a quarter of that time and a little tear to have a 9lb 6 baby the second time around!  I'll let you take what you want from that.  I am pregnant again and I know its going to be another big baby and I am defo going to drink the tea again from about 6 or 7 months!!

  3. I went to antenatal classes, and someone asked about the old wives remedies.

The midwife said there is evidence raspberry leaf tea does work and she advised to try capsules as the tea is supposed to be horrid.

She also said NOT to take castor oil - she had one lady who drank a whole bottle, and she had uncontrollable contractions and a very bad labour. Both mother and baby were very distressed.  Obviously a whole bottle is going too far anyway but she didn't recommend it at all.

Apparently curries and long walks don't work - I thought walks might but no.

s*x possibly works - open verdict on this!

  4. they are ment to speed up the second stages of labour and the completely did that for me i was 3cm i walked down the corridor and back and i was pushing my son out lol!

  5. When I reached 41 weeks and wasn't dilated at all, I tried all the old wives' tales.  I drank about 8 cups of raspberry leaf tea and went into labor the next day, but I have no idea if it was the tea, or other methods I tried, or pure coincidence.

  6. I started drinking Raspberry leaf tea at 38 weeks, I went to 42 weeks and 3 days before being induced. I would say in may case, no - they don't work. Why are you taking capsules, the tea tastes great. A good brisk walk helps, or so they say also spicy food and s*x. I tried it all, nothing worked for me I'm afraid.

  7. I'm not sure, you could even ask on here or google it. Better yet ask your obygn. Sorry I couldn't be any help to  you and congrats on the baby!

  8. It is rumored to bring on labor and may do the trick  to get labor started castor oil and nipple stimulation may also work are you dilated at all ? Ask your OB to induce you i was induced 10 days before my due date electivly because i was so uncomfortable just call and ask ill bet you can get the potossin drip going soon playing around with home remedies came to mind for me to but nothing beats going to the maternity word getting in that gown and know its gonna happen..good luck and congradulations on your new baby.

  9. It depends on your body.  I was 6 days late having my son.  Someone suggested them cos they worked for them, only a few hours after taking them I think but they did not work for me.  But like I said everyone is different.  If you are overdue and it is starting to get you down then it is definitely worth a try. Just because they didn't work for me doesn't mean they won't work for you.  Not sure how many you should take but it will give you instructions on the side of the bottle

    Good luck
