Do recycled biodegradeable paper plates decompose?

I bought recycled paper plates that are biodegradeable. If I throw them away with the trash, won't they decompose and not harm the environment? I have to feed my cat raw meat 3 to 4 times daily, and it's a pain to wash all those dishes. Please help.

Nothing breaks down in a landfill.  No light, air and little water means that biodegradale or non-biodegradable stuff just sits there for years.

Doesn't biodegradeble mean that they decompose. h**l im an anti greeny and i even knew that.

If they say they are bio..., then yeah... That means they will.
