I don't have the correct answer, but think about this from a cops standpoint, yellow is the most visable, silver and charcoal are the same color as most roads in the u.s., so they are harder to see.  If you live in an area that gets lots of snow, then white is the least visable. Common sense tells you that if you purchase a vehicle that blends with your suroundings, then the vehicle will be hard for others to see you. (hence, drive with your lights on).The Insurance company does not ask the color of your car, but they do ask for the V.I.N. and one of the number/letters in the V.I.N. is a color code. I hope not. Because i like red. Accidents also depend on the driver. And it depends on the type of car you are driving because some brands of cars have red cars and others have different coulors. I personly like red. And if the driver is drunk than that is the reason there are more accidents.

My opinion is that the reason  more red cars are in accidents is because there are more red cars on the road. Simple as that.  Not because the car is red.  Think about it, I was told that people in red cars are more likely to get traffic tickets than any other color. Well, if there are 2000 red cars on the read for every 500 black cars in a 700 mile radius, wouldn't it make sense that the red is more likely to get a ticket or into an accident? Just a thought!!!

No, but they get more tickets.

Black cars get into more accidents since you cant see them after dark.

I hope not. My Impala is red. I think that's a rumor because for the longest time most of the best exotic sports cars were red. I've never seen a report to confirm if they do or don't.
