Do referral web sites work?

I trust Transcending Innovations cause I talked to the site administrator, but do their websites work? (yourfreeiphone.com, etc.) I think it's a cool concept, but has anyone received their gift from them?

Absolutely, definitely yes, especially if you are talking about websites that make commissions by refering to other merchant sites

I have never met a real life person who has received a free "_(insert popular electronic here)_".

they could and probably do work. but be prepared for a flood of advertisements coming to your email and home, now that you have opened the door to promotional advertising.

ps.

and the other success stories in this post may as well be automated computers that search these questions and reply to them. theres no CAPTCHA code for answering on yahoo... so it could be a script running in joey's grandmother's garage on a e-machine.
