  1. Probably not but I bought my DVD player for £25 from Curry's and put in the special code to make it multi region and its fine with anything.

  2. there are ways to unlock DVD players to make them "region free", meaning they`ll play any DVD from any region. I used to have a list somewhere...

  3. Region 2 (Europe) and Region 4 (Australasia) both use the PAL encryption system. So you can buy cheap DVDs from Australia and ship them over and they'll work in our machines.

Region 1 (Japan + USA) work off the NTSC encryption system and dont work in our players.

You can buy Region 0 (Everywhere) DVD players that will play all encryptions. LG make a lot of them, and PCs tend to want to keep a particular encryptions system.

Usually, the first time you put a DVD in a PC, it'll ask you if you want to take the setting of the DVD you put in. It'll let you change the setting 5 or 6 times then lock it, but you can get programs that'll play the DVD regardless of its Region.

  4. Yes (I think computers only), but you have to switch it for the pc (a message will pop up). You are only allowed a maximum of five switches before it is permanent.

There are software to make your drive region free, but that costs money.

  5. yes , most dvd players can be modded to play all regions
