  1. YOU CAN USE THE SAME AMP FOR EITHER TYPE OF GUITAR - GO TO A MUSIC STORE WITH YOUR GUITAR AND TRY SOME OUT TO SEE  WHICH YOU LIKE BEST. THERE IS  A LOT OF VARIETY IN BOTH WORLDS - AMPS AND GUITARS. LOOK FOR THE SOUND THAT WORKS FOR YOU . ( AND AFTER YOU FIND THE MAKE AND MODEL YOU LIKE - YOU CAN OFTEN FIND USED AMPS AT A BETTER PRICE!)

    HAVE FUN!

  2. Get a acoustic guitar amp like one of these:

  3. It will work on any amps regardless. The secret is to not overdo it with the bass sound. That is where feedback starts.

It creates a loop and the guitar pickup picks it up and amplifies it like a loop.

The best setting is to put all the settings flat , in the middle like midnight.

Then put up the bass a little, lower the mids, and increase the highs a tiny bit. That should sound good.

  4. An amplifier made specifically for acoustic-electric guitars should be used. Amplifiers used for straight electric guitars will produce abrasive, high-pitched tones and feedback.

Unless you want that sound I strongly recommend an acoustic amp for your acoustic-electric guitar.

I use a Fender Acoustisonic II for my acoustics and it does superbly.

  5. Our acoustic-electric worked just fine with a regular amp!

  6. Actually you don't need a specific amplifier to make it work for acoustic-electric guitar. All you need is a jack cable and any amplifier even a synthesizer amplifier.

Only in really specific situations you'll need to have a specific amplifier, Roland/Bose/Celestione are specialist in that type of amplifiers, however, it's really not needed to have one of them because they are expensive and the difference is not really shocking.

Just any amplifier will work well for you, and don't forget you can always use equalizers they are awesome in working out the shape of sound.

    Best of luck.

  7. regular amp is fine you can use for like anything with an input like guitar, bass, mic

but bass amps are usually special because they have more bass

  8. Any old amp will do it man.

  9. You need an electric acoustic amp. The problem with regular electric amps is, the electronics inside are just too much for the acoustic, and will drown out its tone. I mean, you could use it, but you'll get a fuzzy-like tone, and that's not good. The electronics inside an electric-acoustic amp are a lot different. They're made for them. You could hook it up to the PA system, I've done that quite a few times, or just mic it up, but the best way to go is the electric acoustic amp.

    Hope this helped!
