Question:

Do relationships have their own stereotype?

It seems so these days, and even a few days back.

Sometime ago it was that during senior year the guy would politely ask a girl to the dance, they'd kiss, and hold hands and cuddle from there on out.

Today it is that somewhere from 7th grade to high school you get a girlfriend, you cuddle a lot, you text every night to 12, you chat on messengers daily, you have three hour phone calls, etc, etc.

Correct or incorrect?

  1. Your correct, the changes in technology do change the norms or interaction between the two subjects. I do however notice that the availability of  technology makes the  subjects interact more, causing a more developed relationship. Deeper lines of interaction are definitely  crossed and more older conversation take place in younger adolescents.  The adolescents are now able to make dates readily and plan more events  amongst themselves without falling out of the loop, due to extra school activities and prior engagements that may have shadowed the single telephone conversation of the early years, before cell phone technology.
