Do relationships work if you go to different schools????

well here's the deal. well schools almost here and im nervous about my boyfriend and me. well im still in middle school and hes going to high school. idk if things will work out. and i dont know if i can trust him cause hes a big flirt!!! and since hes going to high school i cant keep an eye on him. i know i should trust him but im not sure. im goin to ask some of my friends also going to high school to keep an eye on him but im still nervous...so wat should i do????
