Question:

Do religious nuts get on your nerves too?

Is it just me, or do religious nuts just go too far with wanting you to believe in their fairy tale stories about the bible? Look I don't believe in God, and it's my right NOT to believe in your silly stories about made-up characters. Why do you get so offended just because I don't believe? Plus, when you tell people they're going to h**l for not believing in this hocus-pocus, doesn't that go against your preaching of "god loves and forgives all?" Religion is twisted.

  1. Since you don't believe why do you care? They have a right to be offended just as you have to be irritated by them. Everyone has a right to  their opinions as long as they don't attempt to harm you.

  2. Sister!

    It's just you!

    Well, you asked!

  3. it is your own opinion but alot of people get offended about it because its their religion and their beliefs. Just because we believe in this "hocus pocus" as you call it doesn't make us bad people and just because you choose not to believe in it doesn't make you a bad person. But I agree with you in alot of ways religion is twisted with all the restrictions it puts on the modern world.

  4. tell me about it sometime I gotten into christian but when i heard mormon it crazy My family wants me to have mormon reglious it twisted!

  5. yes, just because they are infatuated with God doesn't mean they have permission to annoy everybody with their beliefs. And if you try to tell them to shut up about it they start proclaiming you are the antichrist for not letting them speak and spread their beliefs. I don't mind if you talk but change the subject already.

  6. OMG yes!!!  I just had 2 Jehovah's(?) witnesses show up inside my neighbor's yard just to try and preach to me!! My whole yard is sealed and locked so you would have though they would get the hint.  NOOO!! They went into my neighbor's and scared me to death. However, they got scared back when 220 pounds of Akita came running out the door to get them through the fence. Organized religion is very hypocritical which is why I chose not to partake in it. Thanks for asking!!!

  7. I appreciate a good give and take debate on religion, but become totally indifferent when I am provided "quotes" from the bible, as if that would negate or invalidate my point.

I learned long ago, especially with "born again" that there is some compulsion to "convert" everyone around them. I find that as a serious sign of insecurity...........something like " misery loves company".

  8. It's called tolerance and most people don't have it.  Also everyone is taught "love thy neighbor", but somehow forget it applies to all.  Sorry you're getting annoyed, I know how you feel.

  9. I think the same.

  10. that is your opinion and everybody has one. there are so many different religions out there you don't know who to believe or who is right or wrong! I do believe in god but I don't go to church some of them to me tell you you are either bad and going to h**l or you should wear the clothes they tell you to wear and look a certian way. I know alot of churchs would look down on me because Ive been married more then once and have afew tatoos but does that make me abad person ? In there eyes it does. thats why I keep my religion to myself and believe what I want to believe.that way I don't hurt know body but myself. what I get out of religion is if you ask for forgiveness you will berid of your sins ? I don't know I guess we will find out when we die !

  11. I am just as offended when someone  tries to argue with me that there is no God..I believe in God and that's my right and I am not a religious fanatic.. I do not preach to anyone..and...I do not appreciate  those certain religious people knocking on my door!

  12. I'm so offended by your statements!!

No I'm not, just kidding. And yes I know exactly how you feel. I live in the Bible Belt so I come into contact with them quite frequently.

Why is it not OK to openly criticize religious beliefs and stand for reason? Why do we "have" to respect other peoples religious beliefs? Why is atheism still equated with "evil" and worshiping Satan? When are we going to educate the people of this world?
