Do restaurants featured on food network have to pay?

on shows like tasty travels, etc.. .do the restaurants featured pay food netwok anything?

No, cuz its part of the show, but they have to send in a tape to the food network

I don't think so.  Usually, the restaurants that are being featured on these shows are already quite popular as they are, like the Union Oyster House in Boston.  I don't think they pay for the endorsement, but they get the exposure anyway!
