Do rookie cops go through hazing by veteran cops?

Should it happen?  Absolutely not

I think it is more typical for some minor hazing just in some fun.  Nothing extreme.  More on the lines of practical jokes with no harm done.  I think that occurs often, not only in law enforcement though.  I'm sure there are officers somewhere that do go over the line and I hope they get caught because that is extremely wrong in any profession.

Hazing ...... in truth we just don't have that much free time. I've trained many trainees in my 10 years in law enforcement, hazing hasn't occurred to them specifically because they're trainees, like anyone else they might get a few smart **** comments if they do something dumb (like my trainee who after securing the prisoner accidentally locked himself in a neighboring holding cell in the watch-house).

"Hazing" is something that happens to Frat boys and athletes and in Police Work, only in the Movies and on TV.

In reality, Rookie Officers will get "Pranked" frequently during probation if they're well liked. And outright ignored if no one can stand them.
