Do rude people bother you? How do you deal with rude people?

I took a summer job as a sales girl at Victoria's Secret in a busy shopping mall. boy, do I have to deal with rude people EVERYDAY.

We have a store policy that we cannot take any returns / exchange for on sale, closet items (most of these items are undies anyway) Women came up to me and ask for return everyday. When I told them it was against store policy, they took all their frustration on me!!! (Either stay there refuse to leave, or asked to see my supervisor.) These women look like they are on PMS or something.!! =)

How do I deal with rude people who feel so entitled?

At first be over kind to them, it usually makes them feel really bad and they start being nice.  If that does not work, I ask them why they feel the need to be rude to me, and if it makes them feel better to do so.  That aways makes them sing a different tune.  Just remember you are a human being and you deserve respect.  No job is worth being degraded over.  Good luck.

I understand that is annoying, but you could tell them that you're only doing your job and if they don't like it you could refer them to a person in the store that would like it, you could find out/ask who would mind it for you.

It's sort of sick and demented, but I actually sort of get a thrill out of rude people. I LOVE killing them with kindness. It drives them crazy!!

Just bring your supervisor to the scene. There's nothing more you can do in those situations. Let your supervisor deal with them accordingly if they're overboard of their actions and not controlling themselves.
