  1. 100% but it differs from sector to sector

i tell in the old days, not too old, people in mid 40s tell us the stories: if you go to baqalah (small food store) in the morning, he might refuse to sell to you, he will tell you my nighbour didn't have good morning yet. go and buy from him. This means his nighbour didn't have a customer yet.

however, with big cities, these examples died. but, if you take about traders (i am familiar with the yemeni ones here in western province) they are extremely honest and they consider honesty is their capital. you find so much transactions happen without paper work or letter of credits.

if you talk about government sector, then it is full of beaurucracy and corruption. same as many other sectors.

if you talk about about companies, then, you got companies with so much politics (like banks) or the ones that are multinational corporations with a lot of better atmosphere.

as with many saudi guys around me, they consider being honest, dedicated and productive in work is part of "amanah" which is beint trustworthy and honest and it is part of religion belief.

  2. No.

  3. No, becasue the women dont work at all, and men work a little bit. The oil does the work for them so no need for any work ethic

  4. not really.

  5. In Responce

Of Course there are hundreds of thousands of Americans and OTHER foreigners there to work. and Why is that? Because the Saudi people are so rich  that they don't or wont do the  work them self. SO what would happen to your country if all of the Americans and other foreigners leave. Do you or would you do the work that they are doing? Of course you wouldn't. And neither would most of the Saudi People.

Its just like the Americans who complain about the illegals that come into America to work. If they didn't do the Jobs that they do.. most of the American people wouldn't either.

hundreds of thousands of foreign workers come                            to Saudis every year most of them have worked in Saudi before. They collect a lot of money, engage in their own closed society in Saudi and do what ever they want. Violating Saudi law rules every moment, murdering, rubberizing, forging...etc. Saudi government still give them the permission to come again and again. In the same time there are a lot of other options to work such as other gulf countries but they sill choose Saudi. Some of them have been here since 30 or more years. Some of them even don't want to come back to their countries.

I admit there are some of exceptional cases but we assist the situation with the common cases which express the ethical treatment of foreigner workers.

  6. If it is an ethical value to mercilessly flog and sexually assault indonesian maids, and to hire south koreans to do all jobs requiring brains.

    so yes.

  7. .....it depends....the only educated ones have work ethics.....but nowadays saudis have high literacy rates for men its 85% and women its 71% so it means they have work ethics.....

  8. i made friends w/ a saudi foreign exchange student and it seemed like most saudi's are rich... when ever they need something they can just hire someone to do it for them lol. most of the workers in his house (maid, cook, chauffeur, etc,) were filipino.

but he was still super nice even though he was a bit lazy haha

  9. i lived in Saudi Arabia for 18 years and i got to tell you, lots of them are good people and nice to deal with. but, because most of them are rich and spoiled they fail to be moderate and  compassionate towards others especially people from eastern Asia .

  10. Yes, they import foreigners to do 99% of their jobs and for those poor women working as maids and nannies, they will have their passports confiscated by the male of the household, not to mention be harrassed, raped, or lord knows what else.
