  1. I know my school does. My teachers have myspaces also. Its VERY VERY creapy. and weird they said they will always know what we are doing and everything is exposed!

  2. yeah, probably. that's why mine is private. my world civ teacher has a myspace, and she said she was going to make a page just for her students to add. this rly weird girl i used to be friends with searched for her until she found her myspace and was too scared to add her.

  3. Some teachers that I know do I believe. Weird. Some at my school even have there own Myspace pages. Weirder.

  4. I know many of my teachers have like facebook pages.

and many students are fasinated with looking them up and trying to find them. If your profile is private then why should you be worryed about teachers looking at them because unless they are added as a friend they will not be able to see anything

  5. yes we do lol. I have my own and occasionally go out to see if my students have them. I found one last year that gave TMI on my student's mom. I recommended that they set it to private. I know the mom had to have thought I saw her myspace since she seemed embarrassed everytime I saw her.

  6. Your teachers are people to, and sometimes not much older than you are.  They use the internet too.  Bottom line, don't post anything online that you wouldn't want your parents, teachers, future colleges or future employers to see.  Because they know how to use the internet, and anything you post is fair game.

  7. At my school, student MySpace pages are only looked at if there is a report of harassment or bullying. Then, the pages are scrutinized by the school administration.

I don't know of any teachers who look at student MySpace or Facebook pages, but certainly some of them have their own. Why would you think it was creepy for a teacher to have a life of his or her own?

Also, if you don't post inappropriate material on your MySpace page, then there will be no inappropriate material for anyone to see!

  8. Many teachers use social networking for their own uses. Some organizations have sites for club activities. In my case, my kids attended the same school where I teach. When I look up my son's band schedule, I will sometimes come across posts from kids that I know. It's like running into someone at a restaurant that's drunk or high-it's not something I sought, but simply something that happens. I will tell you that prospective employers DO look for websites of applicants for jobs. Many a college grad has lost a job because of objectionable behavior online. And by the way, once you post something objectionable or risque, it NEVER goes away. And if you are posting personal pics, who's really being creepy?

  9. As a teacher, if I am on MySpace and my student is stupid enough to leave his profile set to public, then I am gonna look at it.  Set it to private so I don't get tempted to look.

  10. I'm a teacher with my own MySpace page.  My teenage son helped me set it up and invited his friends to send friend requests.  But to answer the question.  I only look at student's pages if they  look at mine and leave a comment or message.  I don't go browsing around.
