  1. Scientists have a responsibility to follow the scientific method when they are investigating the truth about the physical universe, otherwise they are people when they are not being scientists

People have been given free will by our creator, we all have a right and a responsibility to exercise our free will.  We  will ultimately answer to our creator for our choices, but scientists haven't proven that.  It can't be done using the scientific method. But it is still true. Imagine that.

  2. i really dunno but they know abt the environment much better than the others and can understand the vulnerability and the consequences better than a normal citizen.......

but apart from than the duty lies in all humans to protect the environment

  3. Scientists don't have any more environmental responsibilities than any of the rest of our species, but they do - or should - have ethics that goes along with their specialized knowledge just the way doctors do - or should.

Scientists work for pay just like everyone else and there is a problem where they present their findings in order to please the folks who pay their salaries.

Another problem is that when scientists solve the questions they are working on they lose the funding for that particular project.

I am not calling scientists liars here, but I am just saying that they have a social responsibility to present their findings concerning the environment or any other of the many scientific branches in an ethical and honest manner and I do not believe that is always the case.
