libra finds scorpio to be too direct and abrasive. scorpio finds libra to be too sensitive and superficial. scorpio prefers to have a few very close friends. libra prefers to collect friends (for future use or just to improve their image). scorpio believes in getting ahead solely through merit. libra prefers to get ahead by who they know. scorpio likes to discuss the mysteries of life. libra prefer to talk about themselves or other people. in the end, libra tries to reach out to scorpio (since they are always up for making new friends), but scorpio finds the libra personality annoying and has no problem rejecting the offer or cutting them off. at best, they can be acquaintances or business partners (utilizing the other's strengths when necessary).

of course there are exceptions, but i speak as a stereotypical scorpio who has a stereotypical libra as a sibling, so my experience would be most typical. i've also based it on the zodiac knowledge that i've garnered through research.
