Do service personnel in the British armed forces get any discounts on any products?

  2. Not normally, not when I was in. Not even in the NAAFI.

  3. YES. As seen above there is something called Forces Discounts, a little booklet giving details of the organisations that give discounts.

    There is also 1 thing more.

    If serving overseas the serviceman can buy cars at tax-free prices (I bought a Fiesta Zetec-S for 7K!!!), I have also obtained computers from Dell at tax-free prices.

    You sources mentioned the NAAFI, which is NOT cheap, but in Germany I had access to the American PX which IS!!

    One last thing, in Germany there is NO requirement to pay the German version of VAT on ANYTHING above €50. Petrol is rationed to you at tax-free prices as well. So a simple answer to your question is yes, but you have to be in the right place!!
