  1. The shoes don't make you the runner that you become, but nonetheless, they are extremely important.

    Choosing Shoes:

It all depends on the type of foot you have/the way you run. Whether you have flat, normal, or high arched feet, and whether or not you underpronate, overpronate, or don't pronate at all will determine the type of shoes you need (stability, motion control, or cushion).

I would suggest checking out a store in your area that's specifically for running. They should be able to help you pick the best shoe for you! Hope this helped...Good Luck! :D

  2. in 9th grade pe class no. but if you are serious about running then good shoes could make it so that your feet don't get hurt, better cushioning etc.

  3. If you are only in p.e. it doesn't really matter. If you run on track or cross country then it matters because you could hurt yourself without the right shoes. Also if you have arch problems your feet  might hurt. If you did have running sneakers then their is a possibility that you could go faster.

  5. if you do a sport like track or xc then shoes really matter. if u do track u need spikes but if you do distance then you need a shoe from a running store that has support for your foot. but if your in pe then it doesnt matter.

  6. If you are just in p.e. then it doesn't matter. But if you are in track or cross country, it does matter because it makes your feet more comfortable and if your shoes have too many miles on them, then you can get shin splints. It depends on how much you are running in class, in order for the shoes to make you run better.

  7. The shoes don't make the runner. In the end it doesn't really make a difference if you have brand name new shoes or older non-brand shoes. If you don't feel comfortable in your shoes then you should get new ones and better ones. If your shoes suit you finde and you feel that you run well in them, you can just keep them. Unless they give you a problem you don't need to get new ones.

  8. I have been running for 8 years now. Though I am biased towards Nike as a brand, I would recommend you to go to a running-specific store, like Fleet Feet in Carrboro, NC. They can help you find the right shoe because people buy shoes that aren't necessarily right for their feet, but more comfortable or fashionable. But after you get the correct shoes or even if you haven't, I would go to any major athletics store and ask the sales associates because they are getting paid to know the products they are selling. But make sure you state the use/reason for buying the shoes. Good luck!!!

  9. for pe it dosent really matter but,

if you're gonna join track you will need

    cleets. :)

  10. Yes they do, get proper running shoes.  They have better support, cushioning to protect your feet and knees.   You may not run better but in the long run they will be better for you.
