Yes, absolutely!

Yes dollars are accepted on both sides of the island. St Maarten (dutch side) and St Martin (french side). On the french side the currency is euros but dollars are good too.

Good idea to use credit cards for large purchases, just in case you have any problems. (especially jewelry or electronic purchases)
