Do silverfish bite?

We have apparently got silverfish in the offices at work, just wondered if there was any danger of getting bitten etc

    the silverfish is a small, wingless insect typically measuring from a half to one inch (12–25 mm.

    The favorite food of silverfish is any matter that contains starch or polysaccharides, such as dextrin in adhesives. These include glue, book bindings, paper, photos, sugar, hair, and dandruff.


  2. no they do not, however silver fish normally only live in damp area so you may have a damp problem in your office which could cause you breathing problems

  3. they eat tiny scraps of food and stuff, occasionally they eat other dead silverfish, but, no, they don't bite

  4. yuk they're horrid little buggers!

    No they don't bite!

  5. no and when you get too close to them or touch them the shock seems to kill them so i wouldnt worry about coming into contact with them
