Do sirens turn your neighbor's doggone dog on?

  1. Some dogs have such sensitive ears that ambulances or fire trucks' sirens can indeed set them off.  

    Since you're not the "owner" of the dog, I don't really see how you can deter that type of behavior.   If you have a good relationship with your neighbor, have you tried discussing the problem with him/her?  After all, if the dog's barking seems loud to you, it must be REALLY loud for your neighbor, so it would be good if both of you could brainstorm and come up with a solution.


  2. Out of all my dogs it only affects my most recent rehomed Doberman.

    He'll get to howling along with the sirens.

    There was a German Shepherd that use to be my neighbor & he would howl at the sirens all the time. Since I live near a hospital he done it all the time. He & his owner moved about a month ago.
