Do six year old cats still like to play?

I'm wondering because I have one and she doesn't play very much if at all.

when it is a cat's birthday, they get 7 years older.

so your cat is 36.

they do like to play because i have a cat called lincoln and he is about seventy-something and he still likes to play. Unless your cat is not feeling very well, he/she should still play!

Of course , they like. But every cat has a different character...

One is playfull and outgoing, the other is shy and likes to sleep a lot.

If your cat doesn't play very much - try some new toys. Laser mouse is great for cats of all ages.

Some of them do, it just depends on the cat.  My 9 year old is usually pretty calm but our 1 year old picks fights (playing) with him and that gets him going and he loves catnip, smashed ants, and pens and pencils.  

My parents have a 14 year old cat who goes insane for laser pointers (so do their younger cats) and little hair ties.  

Maybe try some different types of toys, that might help.

I think more older cats would rather relax infront of a fire instead of play ball or whatever!

it depends how energetic your cat is and how much time you spend with it. if you teach it from young to be playful then there is a chance that it will grow up to be playful. sometimes it doesn't work. but it really depends on the type of cat. my cats are 4 or 5 years old and they still play. :-)
